We lease 5 Hyundai 2024 Elantra Blue hybrids that were bought new a few months back. We have experienced the same issues with 3 of the 5 so far. Cars will STALL at low speeds and sometimes ENGINE LIGHT goes on. Cars will suddenly not accelerate after stopping at a stop sign. Extreme danger for our drivers who are transporting developmentally disabled clients to outings and shopping, etc. Hyundai REPLACED throttle body replacement but same issues reappeared 2 days after getting car back. Now, Hyundai is claiming the GPS units plugged in may be causing this, but other 2 are not experiencing this issue (2 of 5). They refuse to work on further unless GPS units are out, but customer needs GPS units per insurance. So we need help from Hyundai in dealing with the dealer Zimbrick East of Madison, WI. We need the vehicles, but don't want our employees at risk.
The car has an annoying picture of a coffee cup and tells me to consider taking a break followed by annoying beeps. This announcement happens every 5-10 minutes on the expressway regardless of who drives the car and if they are staying in the lanes. Hyundai took the way to disable this out of the menu this year and all the people in the car hear is annoying and distracting beeps on trips on the expressway
I received two emails from Hyundai Bluelink that "Vehicle battery level is below normal" late night 16 March 2024 shortly before midnight and several hours after I had parked my vehicle for the night. The car is less than two weeks old with less than 300 miles. After each email notice I checked my car and could not see any device or process which was drawing electrical power. By 10 am the next morning all electrical power to the car was gone and I needed a towing service to jump start my car. It appears the car battery spontaneously drained all its power through the night.
