Window will not go back up. Also when the windows are Locked ( Light indicator on) THEY STILL GO DOWN. My driver window was half way down and would not go back up. The Fuse was checked and Did not need to be replaced. Approximately 6 hours later window went back up.. WEIRD
Passenger window will go down while LOCKED. Strange noise from front cabin
I purchased the vehicle on 12/21/24, and I now have a check engine light with a code related to "The Engine and Transmission System is not performing as expected. An issue has been detected in the Fuel Management System used to maintain, control, and monitor fuel consumption." I am not sure if my safety is at risk as the service center cannot currently schedule a service appointment to confirm the issue.
The vehicle’s infotainment/display screen (center touchscreen system) malfunctions. The screen flickers, freezes, becomes unresponsive, and frequently fails to connect. The malfunction creates a safety concern because the screen controls critical functions such as navigation, rear-view camera display, Bluetooth/phone connectivity, and vehicle settings. When the screen freezes or flickers, I am unable to safely access navigation or hands-free phone features, causing distraction while driving and increasing the risk of an accident. The issue has occurred repeatedly during normal vehicle operation. There were no warning lamps prior to the malfunction. Symptoms include screen flickering, freezing, delayed response, and loss of connectivity. These symptoms began intermittently and have progressively become more frequent over time.
What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? Answer: The brake system failed, specifically involving the brake master cylinder and/or electronic brake booster assembly. The vehicle and affected components are currently available for inspection at a Buick dealership. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? Answer: The vehicle experienced a complete loss of braking while in motion. The brake pedal did not provide normal stopping capability, and the vehicle did not slow or stop as expected when the brakes were applied. This created an unsafe driving condition due to the inability to stop the vehicle using normal braking input. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Answer: Yes. The vehicle was inspected by a Buick dealership following the incident, and the dealer confirmed a failure of the brake master cylinder and/or electronic brake booster assembly. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? Answer: The vehicle has been inspected by a Buick dealership. General Motors Customer Assistance has been contacted regarding the issue. No police report was filed, as no collision occurred Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? Answer: There were no warning lamps, messages, or symptoms prior to the incident. Warning messages and indicator lights appeared at the time of the failure, including brake system warnings, Stabilitrak, and steering assist reduced.
Sunroof glass shattered on I-5 south approx 1215pm just before the Nisqually exit. We looked for cause of the incident but could not find debris/rocks that could've been the cause. Also, there wasn't much glass inside the car, the remnants puckered upwards. The glass shatter seemed to come out of the blue; weather was grey but no rain or sprinkles at the time. We pulled over at the next exit which was Nisqually to look at the damage and to tape up the car.
The horn doesn't work or when you lock the vehicle using the key fob the horn doesn't blow then either notifying you that the vehicle is secured and locked. My vehicle is less than a year old with this defect and this poses as a safety hazard when driving to alert other drivers or prevent an accident.
I filed and submitted my paragraph yesterday and have not heard a word. My son was in the back seat when it happened and he is extremely traumatized in getting back into a vehicle. My car was purchased in 2023 and it is a 2024 and is non drivable due to the engine explosion while driving in 14 degree weather on a two lane high way with my 6 and 7 year old in the back seat. My engine exploded and I no longer have my brand new car I was once so happy about. I hope this is reviewed and someone takes this seriously. I didnt have my brand new car for even 2 years and now I am just out of an option. My car is at the dealer ship and im praying I get good will out of this. I cpuld have been hit on the high way, traffic on coming while I had to merge off the highway as lastly as I could when I felt the explosion.

Understanding the Buick ENVISTA recall history
The Buick ENVISTA currently has 0 recall campaigns and 68 owner complaints indexed from the NHTSA public database. Each recall represents a formal campaign to fix a defect at no cost to the current owner. Owner complaints are self-reported incidents that haven't (yet) resulted in a recall but can indicate emerging patterns worth watching.
NHTSA's complaint database for the ENVISTA records 1 crash report, 2 fire reports. Complaint data is unverified and shouldn't be read as a blanket condemnation of the model (large production volumes naturally produce more reports), but it is useful for spotting whether a specific defect has a serious real-world pattern behind it.
How to use this page
The safest path for an owner is to run your VIN through the checker above. A VIN query hits NHTSA's live API and tells you whether your specific ENVISTA has an open, unresolved recall. If you're researching a used ENVISTAbefore buying, use the recall list below to understand the model's full history, then check the seller's VIN to see whether prior owners actually completed the free repairs. Many don't, and unresolved recalls can linger for years.
Figures are generated live from the RecallScanner dataset, which is sourced from NHTSA's public recall and complaint APIs and refreshed daily. RecallScanner is independent and not affiliated with Buick or any U.S. government agency.
